Prizren is undoubtedly one of the most important settlements in Kosovo. The city always was visited from curiosity of different travellers, historians, geographers, and scientists, which published many works for this known administrative, culturally, political centre. Prizren area has been inhabited since ancient times and retains evidence and archaeological monuments from Neolithic, eneolithic, bronze, iron, antiquity, and onwards... This is evi denced by the numerous artefacts discovered during the archaeological excavations.
The most valuable wealth of Prizren is the values inherited from past centuries. These values are manifested with a perfect architecture and urban magical structure on the one hand and specific folk traditions on the other side. The cultural heritage of Prizren is a rare colouring and represents the most attractive of identities in Kosovo. Prizren is the venue where different cultures and civilizations have met, whose contribution has been crucial to the city, which today is represented as the value of world civilization in terms of cultural heritage.
